Wild Edibles Newsletter 3-1-2013

Good Morning Chefs and Buyers!

Our buyers stocked up our warehouse with some great seafood this weekend. We had a shipment of oysters that came in this morning that look awesome.

Shigoku Oysters are available for the weekend. Taylor Shellfish in Washington produces these fine oysters. The shells are chipped to give them their unique and well cared for appearance. They have nice slightly salty liquor with a crisp flavored, plump meat. These oysters are ideal for any raw bar. They are one of our most popular oysters.

Fluke looks stunning today. Fluke is a local flatfish that has a firm texture and mild flavored meat. They are great for a variety of recipes.

We have some special Cod caught off the shores of Massachusetts. There are some really large ones in the warehouse today so order early and you’ll get slapped in the face with some 15+ pounders. Call your rep about pricing.

Black Sea Bass is a milder and more delicate fish than Wild Striped Bass. We also have Imported John Dory this weekend. Tilefish caught in the Carolinas, Sturgeon from Florida, Halibut from Nova Scotia and Red Snapper from Florida are available as well. Contact us at Wild Edibles for availability.

“I wanted to buy a candle holder, but the store didn't have one. So I got a cake.” Mitch Hedberg
