7.31.12

Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,

Beautiful locally caught Bigeye Tuna arrived this morning.  The fish have a great color to them and are really fresh.  Massachusetts sent us some really nice Fluke.  Day boat Halibut is still coming in daily from waters off Nova Scotia.  U/10 and 10/20 Scallops from New Jersey look fantastic today.  Local Blackfish are here and weighing in between 3 and 5 pounds each.

3/4 Chilean Turbot showed up this morning as expected.  Mahi Mahi is coming in from Guatemala tonight.  These fish are head off and gutted and always great quality.  Red and Black Grouper are available.  The Red's are from Florida and the Black Grouper is coming in from Panama.  Icelandic day boat Cod couldn't be fresher today.  They weigh between 10 and 15 pounds each.  We are going to stick with these until New England Cod prices come back down to earth.

Wild King and Wild Sockeye Salmon both came in today.  The King's are from California and tend to be around 10 to 12 pounds.  The Sockeye Salmon are in from Alaska and average about 5 pounds.  Both kinds look fantastic.

Have a great day.
