7.17.12

Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,

Wild Striped Bass from Massachusetts is down in price for the 2nd straight day.  We are seeing a lot of really beautiful fish and expect more everyday.  Black Sea Bass are in from Boston and range from 3 to 5 pounds.  Big Local Monkfish look great at 5 pounds and up.  Barnegat Bay, New Jersey continues to send  us terrific U/10 and 10/20 Scallops daily.  We also brought in some Live Scallops in the Shell from Massachusetts.

There are still production issues with All-Leg Crabmeat.  We brought in extra Lump Crabmeat from Louisiana to help cover the difference.  Fire River Oysters are coming in from New Brunswick, Canada tonight.  A few really nice items are in today from waters off the Carolina's.  6 pound Grey Tilefish look amazingly fresh.  We also tracked down some Spanish Mackerel.

Hawaiian Big Eye Tuna is on it's way here.  These fish are always excellent quality.  More East Coast Canadian day boat Halibut is in this morning.  They range in size anywhere from 10 all the way up to 40 pounds.  Wild Sockeye Salmon are still running strong out of Alaska.  It looks like there isn't going to be any Mahi Mahi or Sturgeon available for a few days.  Please keep this in mind when ordering.
