7.24.12

Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,

Local Big Eye Tuna looks fantastic this morning.  The fish look nice and fresh and have a great color to them.  U/10 and 10/20 Scallops couldn't be fresher.  They are in from our friends down in Barnegat Bay, New Jersey.  Wild Striped Bass is a bit of an issue.  We are being told they are catching a lot of fish that are too big to legally sell in New York.  We should be getting some in; but ordering them in advance might be the smart move.

Massachusetts sent us some lovely items this morning.  Jumbo Black Sea Bass that weigh 3 to 5 pounds look great.  Jumbo Fluke is a can't miss today also.  Day boat Halibut from waters off Nova Scotia keep coming in daily and look terrific.

Wild King Salmon is in again from California.  We also brought in more Wild Sockeye Salmon from Alaska.  West Coast Oysters appear to be back on track after being shut out yesterday.  3/4 Chilean Turbot arrived as scheduled.  We also found some Panamanian Red Grouper that look very nice this morning.  They range in size from 5 to 10 pounds.  16/20 Fresh Gulf Shrimp are perfect as always.
