7.11.12

Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,

Beautiful items showed up this morning and we have more great stuff on the way.  Local Swordfish is flawless and the price is nice and low.  Center-Cut is only $9.75/lb.  Local Tuna and Mahi Mahi came in from the same boats.  The Mahi Mahi are 7 to 20 pounds with the head on.  Sea Trout (Weakfish) showed up again from waters off the Carolinas and range from 4 to 6 pounds.  North Carolina also sent Grey Tilefish our way today.  They average about 6 pounds each.  Lump and Jumbo Lump Crabmeat are super fresh out of Maryland and Louisiana.

Cod prices in New England are through the roof.  We are opting for that gorgeous day boat Cod from Iceland we had a while back.  They range from 10 to 15 pounds with the head already off.  Most of the time they are still in rigor when they arrive.  Massachusetts Wild Striped Bass should be heading our way by Friday.  This will bring prices down.  Right now all we are carrying are Long Island and Maryland fish.  Beautiful large Hake and Pollock both came in this morning.

Tomorrow is our weekly delivery of those beautiful Sardines from Portugal.  Don't miss out.  They tend to fly out of here.  Wild King Salmon from California look gorgeous.  Sockeye Salmon from Alaska are averaging about 5 pounds each and also look lovely.

Florida is sending the usual suspects our way overnight.  We are expecting to receive 5 to 10 pound Red Grouper that are always consistent.  Red Snappers finally appear to be getting back on track and we should see them in all sizes tomorrow.  16/20 Fresh Gulf Shrimp are always flawless and are set to arrive overnight as well.

Have a great day.
