4.4.12

Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,

It's Opening Day!  No one seems to count those 2 games in Japan.  Baseball season and Jumbo Soft-Shell Crabs really make it sink in that Spring is here.  Dayboat U/10 and 10/20 Scallops are coming to us from Boston and Barnegat Bay, NJ.  We are very limited on Tuna today, but have plenty of fish coming in tonight.  Local Swordfish is on it's way too and hopefully the price will drop a bit.  Jumbo Porgies and Local Dory look like great options for a special today.

Tomorrow is our weekly shot of Portuguese Sardines.  They tend to fly out of here; so order them in advance.  Whelks and Steamers are in from Maine and look very fresh.  Wild Striped Bass is coming in tonight too.  Dayboat Icelandic Cod is here.  This is going to give us some relief from the high Cod prices this week.  Be sure to specify that you want the Icelandic Cod when ordering.

Louisiana Lump and Jumbo Lump Crabmeat are on their way here.  16/20 Fresh Gulf Shrimp are set to come in tonight and are always flawless.  More Snook from Florida came our way.  They are 5 to 9 pounds each.  Red Grouper and Golden Tilefish are coming in from Florida tonight as well.

"Baseball, it is said, is only a game.  True.  And the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona." -George F. WIll

Have a great day.
