4.24.12

Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,

We brought in some great stuff today and have more great items on their way.  Dayboat 10/20 and U/10 Scallops from Cape May, NJ look beautiful today.  Black Sea Bass from Boston are great quality and the price is holding.  Local Head On Mahi Mahi is finally here.  We haven't seen any in about a week.  They are 8 to 40 pounds each.  Local Swordfish couldn't be fresher.  Soft-Shell Crabs are working their way up the coast and the new lower price is reflecting that.  Whitebait from the Great Lakes is available today as well.

Louisiana and Maryland sent us delicious Lump and Jumbo Lump Crabmeat.  Red Drum came in from North Carolina.  These fish are huge.  A few of them are over 30 pounds.  We will cut you a 5 or 10 pound fillet if you would like.  Farmed Sturgeon looks great again.  Red Grouper from Florida have bright red gills and weigh 3 to 5 pounds and 5 pounds and up.

Iceland is sending us more of that gorgeous 8 to 12 pound Dayboat Cod.  They are set to arrive tonight.  East Coast Canadian Halibut look excellent this morning.  Scottish Salmon is back after being a no show yesterday.  Taylor Bay Scallops look like a great option for a special.
