4.12.12

Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,

It's that time again.  The weekend is right around the corner.  The weather  is supposed to be gorgeous.  Make sure you are well stocked for all those hungry people who'll be out and about.  Beautiful Local Swordfish is here.  The fish are coming in from New Jersey and couldn't be fresher.  Local Tuna also looks great this morning.  Local Dory is a great idea for a special this weekend.  They are 3 to 5 pounds each.  U/10 and 10/20 Dayboat Scallops are nice and firm.  They are a mix from Boston and New Jersey.

Jumbo Black Sea Bass finally looks like it's back on track.  They look great and are out of Boston.  West Coast Halibut is here.  We haven't been seeing a lot of them recently, but they appear to be coming back our way.  Whitebait is in from the thawed out Great Lakes.  Tomorrow may be our last chance at Razor Clams for the foreseeable future.

Florida sent us wonderful items this morning.  The 16/20 Fresh Gulf Shrimp that came in are some of the nicest I've ever seen.  We have a special on 4 to 6 pound Red Snappers.  The price is $7.35 per pound for this size only.  Red Grouper looks amazing today.  They are 5 pounds and up.  Portugal came through with lovely Sepia and Sardines.  The Sepia are about 1/2 pound each and the Sardines look great as always.
