Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,
The weekend is almost upon us. Make sure you are well stocked on everything you will need to get through another busy one. We brought in great items today and have more nice stuff on the way. Local Tuna and Swordfish showed up today. These fish come to us directly from boats that fish from North Carolina to New Jersey. They always send us amazing stuff. Delaware sent us some monster Wild Striped Bass. They are 20 pounds and up. East Coast Canadian Oysters are still a problem due to freezing harvest areas. We did manage to get Dayboat Canadian Halibut though. They are 10 to 50 pounds. More of that lovely Blackfish is set to arrive tonight from Boston. The size tends to vary from 3 to 7 pounds per fish.
Our Thursday delivery of Sardines from Portugal arrived as scheduled. We are also bringing in fresh Sepia from Portugal with these Thursday deliveries. They look incredibly fresh. Mexican Red Snappers look great today. They are about 5 to 8 pounds each. We are bringing in Opah tonight from Australia. They will be loin cut, so we can cut you whatever size you need. We recommend ordering this ahead of time.
Delicious Lump and Jumbo Lump Crabmeat came in from Louisiana this morning. Farmed Sturgeon from Florida are terrific as usual at about 10 pounds each. Golden Tilefish seems to be back up and running. Fresh 16/20 Gulf Shrimp are a can't miss as always.
Today in 1775, at about 5 am, 700 British troops on a mission to capture Patriot leaders and seize an arsenal, march into Lexington, MA to find 77 armed minutemen. The minutemen were ordered to disperse. Shortly thereafter, "The Shot Heard Round the World" was fired from an undetermined gun. When the brief Battle of Lexington was over, eight Americans lay dead or dying. The American Revolution had begun.
Have a great day.
