Wild Edibles Seafood Update

Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,
Last night was a rough night, the weather may affect weekend catches we will keep you informed on any major changes.  Good news is that Wild Striped Bass is starting to nose dive in price, the addition of some southern fish have brought the price down.  Currently we are landing local fish from Montauk and fish from the Chesapeake Bay have been plentiful and the quality is awesome.  Black Seabass is beginning to inch down as we are receiving some fish from Mass tom morning.  Mahi Mahi price is falling as well, fish are sized 10-20 lbs of gleaming colorful freshness.

We have landed a great catch of Blackfish from some Dayboaters in Rhode Island, Tautog's diet of crustaceans create a deliciously sweet flavored fish.  Wild Coho Salmon is still running, please take advantage of this will we still have it in the house.  We also have some Small Tasmanian Ocean Trout or Steelhead in from Ireland.  A shipment of Chilean Turbot landed this morning and are in rigor form.

On a sour note, Cod and Monk have taken a jump in price, catches are down do to government restriction in the New England area on catch size.  We are unsure how long this problem will last but we are watching it closely.
