3.8.12

Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,

March apparently decided to turn into April this morning.  This gorgeous weather is supposed to continue which should really fill up the seats.  Make sure you are stocked up on everything you'll need for the weekend.  We have plenty of #1 and 2+ Tuna.  Unfortunately, we still can't find any #2.  Fresh Local Octopus came in from Long Island.  They're about 2 pounds each.  Long Island also sent more lovely Monkfish Tails our way.  3 pound Jumbo Porgies came in this morning as well.  It looks like we aren't going to find any Swordfish.  Please keep this in mind when planning for the weekend.

Jumbo and Whale Soft-Shell Crabs are available.  The price is down from last week and they are alive and kicking.  Lump and Jumbo Lump Crabmeat came in from Louisiana and is super fresh.  Beautiful Razor Clams from Maine keep coming in and look great.  Portuguese Sardines arrived as scheduled last night too.

Beautiful Large Gloucester Cod is here this morning.  They are head on and weigh 10 to 18 pounds.  It looks like there might be a lag in availability of Halibut.  The east coast stuff is winding down and the west coast seasons don't open for another week or two.

Have a great day.
