4.3.12

Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,

Bright sunny skies and temperatures in the 60's should really help fill those seats this week.  Dayboat U/10 and 10/20 Scallops are coming in tonight.  They are going to be a mix of Boston and Cape May, NJ scallops.  Tuna is going to be tight tomorrow.  I would recommend getting your orders in early.  Local Dory are nice and big today at around 4 pounds each.  Wild Striped Bass and Black Sea Bass continue to be a problem.  We are supposed to get some in tonight, but we don't know how much.

Calico Bay Scallops are available from Vancouver.  We can't remember the last time we saw these.  The Great Lakes are thawing out.  This means we are starting to see some Fresh Whitebait.  Icelandic Dayboat Cod is set to come in tonight.  This should give us some relief from the really high Cod pricing of late.

Snook came in from Florida this morning.  They are 5 to 9 pounds each.  Florida also sent us 6 to 10 pound Golden Tilefish that looks super fresh.  Pompano from Florida is also available.  Ecuadorian Escolar is set to arrive tonight.  These fish are always huge, so we will cut you whatever size you need.

Whelks are in from Maine.  We aren't expecting to see any Razor Clams tomorrow because the weather up in Maine hasn't allowed them to go harvest.  Dayboat East Coast Canadian Halibut looks wonderful today at 10 to 40 pounds and the price is holding.

Have a great day.
