5.10.12

Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,

Mother's Day is right around the corner.  Make sure you are stocked up on everything you'll need for what is sure to be a very busy weekend.  We have all grades of Local Tuna available.  Local Swordfish Pups couldn't be fresher today.  Long Island sent us some nice 5+ bloody Monkfish Tails this morning.  It looks like there is going to be NO WILD STRIPED BASS AVAILABLE.  The fish they are catching in Massachusetts are still too large to legally sell in New York.  Please keep this in mind when planning your menu.

Jumbo Black Sea Bass from Boston continues to drop in price consistent with the Red Sox drop in the standings.  Blackfish is also in from Massachusetts and look great at 3 to 6 pounds each.  Razor Clams are still coming in from Maine, but we aren't sure for how much longer.

East and West Coast Halibut both look terrific today.  They range in size from 10 to 40 pounds.  Amberjack from North Carolina are gorgeous and are 4 to 6 pounds.  We are finally going to be fully stocked on Oysters tonight.  We have lots of variety coming in from Canada and the West Coast just in time for Mother's Day.  Portuguese Sardines showed up overnight and they look fantastic.

Florida isn't messing around today.  They loaded us up with beautiful items.  Red Grouper and Red Snapper both look great.  Pink Snappers also came in this morning.  16/20 Fresh Gulf Shrimp are a can't miss as usual.  We also got in some more Cobia that are about 15 pounds each.
