Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,

Another weekend is coming up.  Make sure you stock up on all the seafood favorites from Wild Edibles that your customers love.  And if your ovens break down, you can always cook it on the sidewalk.  We have some amazing local items for you today.  Dayboat U/10 and 10/20 Scallops keep arriving looking flawless from Barnegat Bay in New Jersey.  Wild Striped Bass season is open in Rhode Island.  For a state the size of Brooklyn, they are hauling in some really great fish.  The entire population must be out on these boats because are seeing a lot of fish coming in regularly.  Jumbo Porgies came in today.  They are locally caught and super fresh.

We got in some wonderful stuff from places much colder than here, Florida and Central America.  We have more wonderful looking Mahi Mahi and Corvina from Panama.  These fish came from the same place as yesterday's and the quality remains excellent.  Gorgeous Golden Tilefish from Florida is here.  They are on the smaller side at about a 5 pound average.  Red Groupers also came in from Florida.  They are between 5 and 10 pounds with bright red gills.  Unfortunately, we are unsure if Black Sea Bass will be available for the weekend.  However, with Wild Striped Bass readily available and the price dropping little by little, it should make a great substitute.

We are supposed to be receiving Dayboat East Coast Halibut from Canada overnight.  I've been told expect some really beautiful fish.  Green Lip Mussels from New Zealand are currently available.  These huge mussels should make a great special.  Local Blowfish Tails are available as well.  We have a new product we would like for you to try out.  Blue Claw Crab Roe from Maryland.  They come in 1 pound packages.  If you have any questions about these specialty items, don't hesitate to give us a call.

Have a great day.
