7.05.11

Good Morning Chefs and Buyers,

I hope you all enjoyed the 4th of July and have all of your fingers still attached.  A new week has started and with the warm temperatures sticking around, hopefully we are all nice and busy.  Branzini prices are going up due to all the striking and general chaos going on in Greece.  We do not have a whole lot of specialty items for you today.  The day after a holiday is always tough with shipping and a lot of fish is just simply not available.

Gorgeous East Coast Halibut from Canada arrived overnight.  They are anywhere from 10 to 50 pounds each.  Canada celebrated their Independence Day on Friday.  But since they essentially earned their independence due to England's boredom, they don't celebrate much and went right back to fishing.

Barnegat Bay, New Jersey came through for us in a big way today.  Stunning U/10 and 10/20 Scallops came in this morning.  With a great color and super firm flesh, they are sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Wild King and Wild Sockeye Salmon arrived from Alaska late last night.  The quality of both is flawless.  The Sockeye are coming in at about 6 pounds with the head already off.  The King Salmon are averaging about 12 pounds each.  You can't go wrong with either of these.

Have a great day.
